Operations Finance Leader (Bottling, Technical & Quality)

To ensure robust financial control and high-quality financial reporting for Bottling, Technical & Quality that is insightful, delivered on time and used to challenge OBU management performance in order to maximise performance, generate added value, reduce financial risks and improve financial processes.

Responsabilidad del cargo

  • Lead and guide UK & Edison Operations Finance teams to ensure robust financial control across the Bottling, Technical & Quality functions, in accordance with the processes, financial standards, procedures, and governance defined in the WGW and by Central Finance.
  • Partner the Bottling, Technical & Quality functions teams to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all operational spend, raising challenges and course-correction, based on financial and commercial information.
  • Deliver relevant and necessary financial information, including for example function Monthly Management Accounts and financial commentary to OBU Management on time, to ensure that function performance monitoring and decision-making is of the highest standard.
  • Monitor and report financial performance to bring insight and challenge Management in order to maximise performance and generate added value in a timely manner. This includes the identification of adverse movements, concerning trends and one off items affecting the underlying financial performance.  
  • Evaluate and present to senior management findings/recommendations on initiatives/opportunities/risks through scenario modelling and other financial analysis.
  • Support the planning and budgeting processes within the OBU to ensure high quality of processes and plans at the cost centre level, in line with the group-wide planning process. Ensure Zero Based Budgeting principles are documented and applied in accordance with Group and WGW instructions.
  • Review and prepare the financial information for the planning cycles for the function based upon inputs from OBU leadership. Review and approve function based balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review, challenge, and manage authorisation of capital expenditure for the function in accordance with Group Finance standards, processes and procedures to ensure the prudent application of capital and clear reporting in relation to capital expenditure plans and claims are delivered in line with commitments.
  • Support Head of Packaging Finance in project work including capital projects, improvement in operational reporting, business analysis, system changes and integration of new brands or businesses.

Nuestro candidato ideal

  • Qualified Accountant with experience of leading and developing finance teams and activities across multi or complex sites, ideally within  the FCMG or Manufacturing sectors
  • Comprehensive experience in technical accounting aspects of cost and inventory accounting as well as significant experience across financial control and reporting gained ideally in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse and present complex financial data to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite and business ERP and reporting tools
  • Proven leader who can set objectives, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their potential
  • Good communicator and ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders to Director level
