As an Information Security Analyst, you will play an important role in safeguarding our organisation's sensitive information and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. As an Information Security Analyst, you'll be at the heart of our Group Technology Services team, who ensure that William Grants & Sons have good practices and controls in place to protect our information and information systems. You will provide technical support and advice on Information Security activities across the business, helping to perform tasks such as assessing our third parties, to supporting projects to helping with training & awareness activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Information Security team to deliver against its overall strategy through the execution of key Information Security processes such as vendor assessments, providing security advice to users and generally supporting the network of Information Security Specialists
- Assisting with the engagement to key business stakeholders by answering queries and promoting security best practices to users throughout WG&S
- Helping to maintain the library of Information Security policies, standards and processes to ensure these are relevant, applicable and up to date
- Contributing to the program of Information Security training, Awareness and Comms activities to ensure security messages are being delivered to ensure that WG&S maintains an acceptable Information Security culture at all levels across the business
- Proactively staying up to date and informed on the latest security trends risks and techniques and how these could apply to WG&S
- Engaging with the GTS risk manager to ensure that Information Security risks are captured and being managed
- Supporting audits of both GTS and business areas which require Information Security input
- Planning security testing activities such as External website penetration tests to gain assurances WG&S operate a secure perimeter.
- Tracking the various compliance tasks and workstreams which the Information Security team are engaged with and ensure these are completed to required timelines
Nuestro candidato ideal
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant work experience in an IT or information security related role
- Knowledge of key systems including M365 estate and tools set used for Governance & Compliance
- Good understanding of IT Technical principles including TCP/IP inter-networking
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of common information security vulnerabilities, threats and controls
- Experience in working with an Information Security policy framework and awareness of one or more of the more relevant Information Security frameworks such as NIST SP800-53, ISO27001 or CIS desirable
- Experienced in Information Security project engagement and comfortable with dealing with stakeholders at all levels in the business
- Understands and can interpret Information Security policies and apply them to identify risks and escalate where appropriate
- Can manage own workload and priorities and follow defined processes
