Head of Commercial Finance - GTR

Job Introduction

The WG&S Global Travel Retail team helps provide a global stage to inspire and engage travelling consumers with our Luxury and premium+ brands, and is entering an exciting phase as the channel recovers and rebuilds following the disruption to travel. This is a great opportunity to take on a pivotal role leading the Commercial Finance team and working with the SLT to help shape, direct and ensure appropriate control in this dynamic Global business.

Main Responsibility

The Head of Commercial Finance ensures financial control of the business and through the financial calendar ensure consistency of processes and approach of the Commercial Finance team based in multiple global locations. The role will partner with the SLT by providing insightful financial reporting and analysis to identify opportunities, risks and trends to maximise performance, mitigate risk and ensure delivery of strategic priorities. Developing and coaching the team to ensure continued development is a key responsibility of the role.

You will be a qualified Finance professional with post qualification experience in a dynamic, international business. You will thrive on the dynamism and inherent volatility of a fast-developing business, and have a genuine interest in our brands and the political and economic dynamics of the different markets in which they are sold. You will be a proactive self-starter with the ability to lead with vision, but also with pragmatism, and to act decisively in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of strong financial controls and will ensure they are enforced. You see the big picture, but you are willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail where required. You stay focused in a dynamic environment and have ambition to succeed in an organisation where rare characters thrive.
