Job Introduction
At William Grant & Sons we always do the right thing for our people, for our business, and we do so for the long term.
The Internal Audit function provides assurance that our key risks and controls are well understood and are managed well, that our Group codes and policies are being observed and that we support the business in building and strengthening our compliance capabilities.
It is also a place where talent thrives and if you are keen to build your experience and further your career as part of a dynamic international business with wonderful brands, we would love to hear from you.
Main Responsibility
- Support Lead Internal Auditors in the planning and delivery of internal audit reviews or projects ensuring these are delivered in accordance with agreed working practices, appraising the relevant risks, processes and controls
- Lead the delivery of discrete audit reviews and activities across the business, engaging with stakeholders to complete the work and apply previous experience to develop and recommend corrective actions for presentation to local management, producing draft reports and deliverables of a high standard
- Agree improvement action plans with management and support the reporting of the outcomes of audit reviews to management. Monitor the delivery of agreed actions by process owners to conclusion
- Promote the application of the Group risk management methodology through the facilitation of regular conversations with risk owners across the Group

You should be comfortable making objective assessments and conclusions based on available information, working co-operatively with others while retaining the capacity to form and articulate independent views and opinions. This will require pragmatism to identify solutions for stakeholders at different levels in the organisation and with different needs.
We expect curiosity and are looking for someone who is keen to learn, motivated by their own personal development and the development of others. And we are committed to working with and supporting the business by spending time with our colleagues in various locations across the Group, and an ability to travel is therefore an essential aspect of this role.
