Grant’s is William Grant & Son’s largest brand, and is the scale enabler of the business. We’re unashamedly focused on building volume and scale to take on some of the biggest names in the industry. We’ve just started to execute an exciting new global brand strategy, and are now ruthlessly focused on working with markets to realise these new opportunities.
Clan MacGregor is a Blended Scotch which plays in the value segment of the category. After joining, William Grant & Sons in 1964, Clan MacGregor has gone on to become a significant player in the United States, Russia, Middle East and Africa. The value segment allows us to offer our award winning whisky to consumers at an everyday price point. The brand is in need of revitalisation to take on a category that’s ripe for disruption, the successful candidate will be responsible for devising and executing this strategy.

This role has two very distinct areas of focus, with total brand ownership of Clan MacGregor, and ownership of Grant’s commercial and shopper drivers. While you’ll work across two brands at two different price points, both opportunities required a well-rounded, commercially astute marketer.
On Clan MacGregor, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to take total ownership of brand strategy and execution, and start with a largely blank sheet of paper! From identifying opportunities across the globe, to developing consumer understanding, pack design and growth drivers, you’ll have the opportunity to shape it all!
On Grant’s, you will have responsibility for the brand’s shopper, commercial and sales activations to ensure that Grant’s stands out on the path to purchase and is rooted in our social sharing shopping mission. You’ll work with the commercial and shopper teams to shape our strategy and execute programmes in partnership with key markets.

Blended Scotch is one of the toughest, most competitive category in the spirits industry, so we’re looking for a commercially astute marketer who doesn’t shy away from a fight! We’re taking on well-established competitors, with deep pockets and brand equity built up over decades, so you’ll need to be able to think differently if we’re going to succeed! We’re excited about growth opportunities in emerging regions including Africa and Latin America, so if you’re from that part of the world, or have experience building successful marketing strategies in these markets, we’d really love to hear from you.
