Finance Analyst (Intercompany & Internal Markets)

We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join the Group Finance team based in Scotland with responsibility for the Group-wide internal trading and intercompany financial reporting processes. This is a highly diverse role with the core responsibility of maintaining the correct accounting processes and controls for the trading relationships within the Group, partnering with all business units, from the production sites across the UK and Ireland who make our award-winning spirits to our worldwide distribution and marketing offices.

This role supports all business units in adhering to the internal operating model of the business ranging from product costing and pricing to internal financial reporting processes. You will be finding solutions for challenges encountered in the ways of working between business units making commercially sensible recommendations to senior leaders in the business that are fit for purpose and in line with the shareholder philosophy. This will include engaging with stakeholders worldwide providing education, training and support in implementing and maintaining the operating model.

The second aspect of the role requires you to take ownership of the control environment over the accounting for intercompany transactions and balances that have resulted from our different business units trading with each other. You will engage with a wide group of finance stakeholders in validating and reconciling balances and, as part of a team, continuously improve our Group-wide processes.

You will be a qualified accountant with experience in industry having worked on areas such as costing, pricing and intercompany reconciliations. A seasoned problem-solver who can approach a problem with an objective mind and work on solutions tenaciously is our ideal candidate.

Being an impactful individual who can collaborate within a team and confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation is a key ability of a successful candidate.  You will be able to make commercially relevant and practical recommendations demonstrating strong judgment and sensitivity to the cultural and organisational diversity in our organisation.
