Assistant eCommerce Manager

This role develops, manages, and delivers the expansion plans for eCommerce in market, in line with the market’s eCommerce strategy and agenda. The role is also responsible for connecting data, driving advocacy in eCommerce to maximize reach & consumer sales, as well as driving integration between direct sales to retailers and brand marketing plans to increase the impact of WG&S brands.

  • Manage day to day operation of online stores and deliver joint business plans through regular meetings with key eCommerce retail partners (e.g. TMall, JD), checking of store performance.
  • Work closely with key eCommerce retail partners to align and drive effective eCommerce sales/promotional plans to maximize eCommerce delivery in line with Key Performance Indicators (including GMV/ UV/conversion rate, optimal ROI).
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders e.g. Finance, Brand Marketing, to deliver brand activities e.g. NPD, Omnichannel integration, content marketing, to elevate store traffic, drive conversion and sales.
  • Initiate and implement promotional activities (e.g. GWP production to in-store activation, Direct to Consumer stores online to offline conversion activities, Relationship Management programs) in order to maximise store performance.
  • Ensure up-to-date information and understanding of market competition and new tools e.g. traffic tools, competitor strategy and execution to leverage on best practices, drive adoption to maximise reach and drive impact of WG&S brands from marketing through to consumer sales.
  • Manage e-Store design and implementation for key eCommerce retail partners to ensure effective delivery for e.g. eCommerce content, communications and visuals, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Review performance from day to day operations, sales/promotional plans to evaluate the effectiveness and success of business eCommerce actions, recommend, and implement adjustments and improvements to drive continuous improvement and performance.
  • Manage 3rd party agencies and eCommerce operators, monitoring performance to drive improvement and ensure effective and consistent implementation of Intellectual Property management.

Essential:

  • Degree educated or equivalent eCommerce experience in FMCG industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record of influencing and managing key retail partners, internal and external stakeholders
  • A fast learner with the demonstrated ability to adapt and deliver in fast-paced and changing environments
  • A resilient and results-driven self-motivated individual and team player
  • Strong data management and analytical skills to identify trends and translate insights to recommended solutions.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs to deliver effective data analysis, communication and presentations.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Spirits and Luxury industry is advantageous
  • Prior track record of working with/managing major eCommerce partners such as Tmall/TP or JD is preferred
