Weekend Lead Technician

We're looking for a Lead Technician to support our Packaging operation at Bellshill, helping to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across our production site.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering or maintenance professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing people, and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Coordinating shift activities to maximise team performance and resource utilisation 
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company and legislative requirements 
• Managing contractors effectively and in line with company procedures 
• Taking ownership of planned and corrective maintenance schedules for production lines and site services
• Driving equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives 
• Working closely with Bottling Team Leaders and operational teams to support production performance 
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and maintenance support functions 
• Reviewing maintenance activities within IFS to eliminate non-value-adding tasks and improve efficiency 
• Supporting the identification of skills gaps and contributing to technician training and development plans 
• Assisting with new product introductions, trials, capital projects and line improvement activities 
• Producing technical reports, recommendations and improvement plans based on operational data and findings 
• Championing an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives and ideas are valued

• Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering or technician role within a manufacturing environment 
• Experience leading, coordinating or coaching technical teams 
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities 
• Knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance practices 
• Experience working with maintenance management systems such as IFS or similar 
• A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on performance and reliability 
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills 
• The ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate multiple activities effectively 
• A commitment to health, safety and environmental standards

Hours of work are 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on a Friday, 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on a Saturday and Sunday and from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on a Monday with a 30-minute break each day.
