William Grant & Sons is looking for a Vice President – Commercial to join the Senior Commercial leadership team.

Main Responsibility

The Vice President – Commercial is a key leader of the WG&S USA Commercial team with direct responsibility for overseeing and managing the assigned WG&S Distributor relationship and motivating/managing the capability development for the assigned division of internal commercial sales professionals. This role will have the responsibility of leading a joint business planning process, setting annual financial targets, and defining/implementing all initiatives to include pricing strategy, sales incentives & programs, and divisional marketing activities. They are a key contributor to the S&OP and forecasting process owning the financial forecasts for their division and providing accurate inputs into supply chain. This position assesses and supports the development of long-term strategic plans with a focus on sustainable profit and growth over the 5-year plan.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is required to bring 10+ years of experience as a leader in the alcohol beverage and spirits industry.

They must have experience building rapport quickly to establish genuine relationships and leadership experience with a proven track record of coaching and leading Director level team members.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record of consistently achieving results even under tough circumstances, and they must have the ability to communicate at a high level with internal stakeholders and external distributor stakeholders.

Additional skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen.
  • Strong financial, business, and budgeting acumen; understanding of market dynamics.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with formulas and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage a high degree of complexity to understand all information.
  • Experience developing strategies from insight to execution with a positive possibility mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Excessive travel might be necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

The salary range for this role, based out of Irvine, CA is $174,803 - $207,980

This role is not eligible for international or domestic relocation.
