William Grant & Sons has an opening for a Senior Brand Manager in our New York City office

Main Responsibility

Responsible for the positive development of the brand.  Manage the brand, with direct responsibilities for developing and achieving volume and value growth targets, and with a clear focus on driving the brand vision and equity.  Manage the annual and long-range brand planning cycle.  Generate, assess and recommend growth platforms.  Execute consumer communications strategies.  Execute break-through promotional programs.  Manage and track E&A. Gather and analyze in-market performance.  Analyze, communicate and execute geographic, channel, variant and size mix strategies for the brand, including numerical data, verbal data and all other sources of information. Manage relevant agency relationships across the marketing mix.  Build, maintain and work closely with key stakeholders to influence their role in the development and execution of the brand’s activities. Responsible for the professional development of brand ambassadors, including: Setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Directing and guiding each toward achieving/meeting KPIs; Conduct Annual and Mid-Year Performance Evaluations; Identify and facilitate key development opportunities; Ensure adequate segregation of duties are defined, implemented and reviewed on a periodic basis; and Provide coaching and formal performance appraisal to team members to aid in their development. Share best practices across markets. Perform additional duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have:

Education: Bachelor degree (or a foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Minimum Experience:1½ years of experience in the job offered, or in a managerial position within the spirits industry.  Experience must include analysis of return on capital employed (ROCE) of products.  Must have hands-on experience in assessing, evaluating and promoting proper market controls within the spirits industry. Experience can be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. The pay range for this role, located in our New York City office is $139860 to $170,100.
