We have a fantastic opportunity for a keen individual to join the Distilleries Technical Development Team at William Grant and Sons. You will provide expert support for distillery operations, assuring all incoming raw materials quality as well as some exciting projects to ensure our business thrives for long term growth. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, you will ensure all products are adequately specified and approved, assuring product quality and performance fully meets the expectations of all key stakeholders.

If you are the successful candidate, you will support the delivery of the highest quality raw materials to the WG&S distilling operations across UK and Irish manufacturing sites. This includes wheat, malt, yeast and botanicals associated with the distillery processes. You will ensure that all analytical testing requirements and risks to quality and performance are adequately identified, and that a management plan is in place to address or minimise any risks to product quality. You will be responsible for managing the process of development and deployment of relevant analytical methodologies or tools and quality standards and drive continuous improvement. You will also have ownership of raw materials specifications and supplier review meetings and monthly reporting.

As our ideal candidate, you will have a can do attitude alongside exceptional technical skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will be emotionally grounded in strong values with a highly effective communication style. Key to the success of your role is your experience in distilleries brewing or plant science. Analytical chemistry, laboratory equipment, method development and auditing as well as extensive experience of quality systems and process implementation are required. You must also have a passion for learning.
