Purchase to Pay Workstream Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of our global Purchase to Pay landscape as part of our Finance Transformation programme, one of our most significant finance transformation programmes. 

As Purchase to Pay Workstream Lead, you’ll have the chance to design and embed standardised, efficient and well-controlled P2P processes across the organisation, helping to create a simpler, stronger and more scalable way of working for the future. 

Working closely with Procurement, Finance, the Project Lead and senior stakeholders, you’ll be at the centre of a high-profile transformation that will support accounts payable activity, strengthen financial controls and integrate seamlessly with our IFS Cloud migration. 

This is a 2 year fixed-term contract to support the delivery of our Finance Transformation Programme. 

 

Responsabilidad del cargo

  • Lead the design of a future-ready target operating model for Purchase to Pay, working collaboratively with Procurement and Finance stakeholders to shape practical, scalable solutions.
  • Define the tools, systems and applications needed to support efficient, consistent and insight-led global P2P operations.
  • Establishing and maintaining the P2P process taxonomy and ensuring alignment with group standards and the William Grant Way. 
  • Use activity analysis and cost baseline insights to identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear workstream goals and translate them into well-structured initiatives, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Identifying interdependencies, risks and issues across the P2P landscape and ensuring robust mitigation, escalation or resolution. 
  • Assessing resource and budget requirements and supporting mobilisation of the right team capabilities to deliver the roadmap. 
  • Act as theP2PSubject Matter Expert for the IFS Cloud rollout, ensuring processes, controls and ways of working are designed well and embedded consistently across implementations.
  • Owning the multi‑year roadmap for the P2P workstream, ensuring all projects follow governance standards and secure the necessary approvals.
  • Designing and implementing standardised P2P KPIs across the group, ensuring they drive performance, visibility and continuous improvement. 
  • Champion continuous improvement by challenging current ways of working and identifying opportunities to simplify, strengthen and improve the end-to-end P2P experience.
  • Ensuring clear and effective change management and communication practices support every P2P initiative. 
  • Working closely with the Programme Management Office to ensure all activity is coordinated, risk‑aware and delivered on time and within budget.

You’re a confident and credible process leader with strong Purchase to Pay or accounts payable expertise and the ability to bring structure, pace and clarity to complex change. You enjoy working across functions, engaging stakeholders and turning operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions. You combine strong process discipline with curiosity, collaboration and a desire to make things better - helping to build stronger controls, clearer ways of working and a more efficient experience for teams and suppliers. 

 

This Role Would Suit: 

  • A P2P or accounts payable specialist who is ready to step into a visible transformation leadership role, ideally with experience in a global or multi-market environment.
  • Someone with experience in change management, ERP implementation or process standardisation, ideally supported by LEAN or Six Sigma methodology.
  • A structured thinker who enjoys designing operating models, frameworks and future-state processes that can be embedded and sustained.
  • A clear and engaging communicator who can influence across Finance, Procurement and wider business teams.
  • Someone who values good governance, strong controls, clear documentation and meaningful metrics as enablers of better performance.
