National Account Manager - North

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a National Account Manager to join our UK On Trade Commercial Team. In this role, you will play a key part in executing the UK On Trade vision and strategy, supporting the National Sales Manager to deliver sustainable growth, strong customer partnerships, and brilliant brand activation.

You will help ensure we are the Premium Partner of Choice, balancing commercial performance with long‑term brand equity and value.

Responsabilité du rôle

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing customer account plans that align with brand objectives and channel strategy, achieving activation, distribution, volume, and profit targets.
  • Reviewing customer performance and building initiatives that support account and channel goals.
  • Implementing and managing promotional and investment plans in line with agreements.
  • Driving impactful brand activation and category excellence to improve performance at the point of purchase.
  • Building strong trading relationships and representing our brands with credibility and confidence.
  • Ensuring William Grant & Sons is seen as a partner of choice through regular engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Managing monthly reporting and identifying opportunities for growth within your customer base.
  • Ensuring clear measurement, evaluation, and return on investment for customer activity.
  • Maintaining high operational standards across forecasting, budgeting, and commercial controls.
  • Playing an active role within the channel team, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high‑performance culture.

  • Have experience managing national or regional accounts—ideally within the On Trade.
  • Are skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Bring strong influencing, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Feel comfortable working with numbers and insights to inform decisions.
  • Enjoy problem‑solving and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Are proactive, organised, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Live within a regularly commutable distance of Manchester, Liverpool, or Leeds.
