Aufgaben

To lead local Asia Luxury new product developments for William Grant & Sons by project managing all aspects of material development, primary pack co-ordination, quality standards setting, testing and trialling and re-pack. Ensuring technical capability in accordance with the project brief and quality standards set. Ensuring that the final product is developed within the defined NPD process and delivered ‘fit for purpose’ to Asia market, on-time and within budget.

Rollenverantwortung

• Leadership of cross functional project teams for all Asia specific Luxury NPD projects.
• Technical development of gift boxes and primary pack embellishments for Asia specific Luxury New Product Developments.
• Co-ordination of primary pack delivery from Scotland to Asia.
• Engagement with Planning team, Material Controllers, Logistics and Re-pack facility to ensure on time delivery of Asia specific Luxury New Product Development projects to market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Brand Directors, Senior Brand Managers, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Material Control, Suppliers, Re-pack).
• Single point of contact for Global projects for Asia to ensure accurate updates to team based in Asia.
• Agree in-market dates, quality standards, marketing criteria and financial targets at project initiation and ensure they are managed effectively throughout the project to launch.
• Ownership and development of the full timeline, risk assessment, testing and qualification plan.
• Manage the creation of accurate material/component specifications and manage BOM creation and costing processes, ensuring stakeholders are involved.
• Leading post launch project reviews to enable ongoing cross-functional knowledge sharing and continuous Improvement focus.

Unser idealer Kandidat/in

Essential:

  • Degree Level qualified or equivalent e.g. Institute of Packaging Diploma or substantial experience in either an FMCG or packaging environment.
  • At least 5 years’ experience of packaging print processes and excellent understanding of packaging and material componentry, its manufacture, functionality and performance requirements.
  • Proven extensive track record in complex Project Management.
  • Strong organisational skills and administrative aptitude as demonstrated via effective delivery of stakeholder requirements within a change environment.
  • Good PC Applications Skills with specific expertise in SAP/IFS (or external equivalent), Microsoft Project, Q-Pulse, Workflow, MSWord, Excel (competent user).
  • Technical knowledge in a range of packaging materials (glass, plastic, paper, cork, wood and metal).
  • Sound understanding of packaging development, processes, consumer trends, competitor activity and environmental issues.

Desirable:

  • Institute of Packaging Diploma
  • Knowledge of NPD Processes
  • Market mandatory knowledge
  • Prince 2 qualified (or equivalent)
