Inventory Controller (FTC Jan 2026)

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Controller for a fixed term contract until January 2026, to join our team at our Bellshill site, to manage the reporting of finished goods and raw material inventory across a network of agreed locations. Drive accountability, capability & process adherence through all teams involved with the inventory management process.

Main Responsibility

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of stock in internal and external locations, through the undertaking of a range of stock control measures, ensuring that stock is effectively controlled, and discrepancies are minimised.
  • Drive process and systems development to improve ownership, efficiency, and accuracy within the inventory management process, highlighting data exception reporting requirements and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Generate management reports in order to assist the Company with stock management policies, including decisions on slow moving and aged stock, ensuring that every item of inventory has a clear owner.
  • Highlight storage and throughput constraints and make recommendations to address potential issues and oversee the implementation of assigned improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all inventory risk is captured and shared with Finance to enable financial provisions to be identified as well as initiating the material requisition / end of life process for write-off of project and aged inventory.
  • Participate and contribute to team performance by engaging in team meetings and taking an active part in problem solving activities.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues and apply learnings from identified training and development activities required to perform in role.
  • Follow and comply with all WGW processes, standards, and guidelines in the performance of your role, reporting any non-conformances in a timely manner.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level, with business operations, logistics, mathematics, or related field preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Proven track record of inventory/product lifecycle management within a multi-site FMCG environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes and procedures
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Excel & Word)
