Information Security Leader

Job Introduction

The Information Security Leader is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading the Company’s Information Security Management programme to support effective protection of WG&S’s information and digital assets, ensuring alignment with the company’s compliance and regulatory requirements. In the role you’ll work closely with both IT and business leaders to ensure that information security initiatives are supported to meet business objectives and foster a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout WG&S.

 

Main Responsibility

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Create, enforce, and regularly update information security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and manage information security risks, ensuring the protection of our WG&S information, digital assets, and intellectual property.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards, including GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Lead the response to information security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization through training programs and regular communication.
  • Oversee the security aspects of third-party relationships and ensure that vendors comply with our security requirements.
  • Providing information security assurance to ongoing IT and business projects as part of WG&S digital transformation
  • Provide regular reports to the IT leadership and the WG&S Executive Board on the status of information security.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a growing information security team.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in information security, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the distilling or food and beverage industry is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations spanning both information and operational technology (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Proven experience in managing and developing an information security team.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging information security threats and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management and across various business units.
