Job Introduction
Join the team as a Master Data Analyst to support the development of a master data management framework at William Grant & Sons. Our team is on a mission to improve data quality and governance, making a real and sustainable difference to underpin our digital ambitions. You will be working with a wide variety of systems, giving you exposure to all areas of our unique and global brand. Your analytical mindset and proactive nature will give us valuable insights into data health and shape a governance framework.
Main Responsibility
Researching new data domains as they come into scope, summarising key characteristics and informing the project plan. Through your involvement in workshops, you will populate a comprehensive glossary of master data for a variety of data domains.
Working closely with subject matter experts you will play a pivotal role in documenting data ownership and processes across multiple areas of the business, identifying areas for improvement.
Use your critical thinking skills to define and design data quality metrics, working with our Data Management Team to test and roll out engaging data quality dashboards. Use key insights and working with the right people to identify actions which will drive improvements in data quality.
Our Ideal Candidate
With a background in data analysis, you will have a genuine enthusiasm for data and improving standards. Your analytical skills will enable you to manipulate large data sets, interpret the results and produce insights for the team to focus on. You can acquire information readily and navigate complex processes independently.
You have the ability to review and understand the impact of data quality and communicate findings with a diverse group of stakeholders. Experience of data management in a manufacturing environment would be a plus and demonstrating a genuine interest in immersing yourself in the business to give useful insights.
