Hyperion Planning Specialist

Job Introduction

Design, develop, administer and maintain the WG&S Hyperion planning solution in line with business needs, working closely with global business users. Change and improve the way users work by utilising the appropriate Hyperion functionality.

Main Responsibility

  • Work as part of the Hyperion Technical Team on Hyperion Planning / PBCS development and gain strong understanding of the business forecasting and budgeting processes required to maintain, design and develop the WG&S Hyperion Planning solution.
  • Work closely with the Hyperion team to upskill in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL server development to manage integration with source and target applications.
  • Work closely with other technical teams to ensure successful data flow across the core WGS systems.
  • Continuously review application set-up and processes to identify and suggested improvements.
  • Provide support and training to the Hyperion users around the globe.
  • Manage user access for the Hyperion system.
  • Proactively share knowledge with the other team members and work together to establish best practise.
  • Drive technical excellence in the team to deliver cross functional business information.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in Hyperion Planning/PBCS Development
  • Ability to write business rules, calculation scripts and create data forms
  • Solid understanding of database and dimension concepts
  • Hyperion Essbase performance tuning experience
  • Experience in full software development life cycle
  • Experience in SQL Development (MS SQL Server and/or Oracle PL/SQL) would be an advantage
