Health and Safety Advisor – Dufftown

We have a unique opportunity for a Health and Safety expert  to join our respected and trusted team.  Our world renowned distillery in Dufftown is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor who will bring energy and enthusiasm to the team and create a legacy at this 132 year old independent family distiller.  

Main Responsibility

With a focus on but not limited to providing support and guidance to the site based teams at Dufftown ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation including COMAH and ISO 45001. Duties will include supporting the development and implementation of the health and safety strategy, coordination and supervision of works by external regulators, insurers and auditors, monthly reporting and analysis, incident investigation, site inspection and audit advice and support to project teams on CDM projects and provision of advice and guidance on process safety related items.

Our Ideal Candidate

An experienced health and safety advisor able to work well with multidisciplinary teams and under own initiative. Experience of working within  or knowledge of top tier COMAH sites, knowledge of ISO 45001 and confident in engaging with key external and internal stakeholders. NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent and GRAD IOSH status. Although not essential experience on distilling or oil and gas industries would be considered ideal, alongside working towards chartered status with IOSH.
