Are you a strategic Health & Safety professional ready to shape global standards across a world-renowned spirits company? William Grant & Sons is seeking a Global Health & Safety Lead – Assurance and Systems to join our team at Bellshill. With over 2,800 employees across more than 50 locations worldwide, including five Distilleries and four Packaging facilities, this role offers the opportunity to influence and elevate H&S governance, systems, and cultural maturity across our global operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our people and practices are protected, aligned, and continuously improving wherever we operate.
Main Responsibility
- Champion global consistency in health & safety practices across the business
- Spot emerging risks and trends through proactive data analysis and horizon scanning
- Shape and embed governance models that drive compliance and continuous improvement
- Recommend cutting-edge digital and tech solutions to elevate H&S standards
- Support incident investigations with expert root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Deliver clear, impactful reporting to senior leaders and governance boards
- Lead engaging global H&S communications tailored to cultural and business needs
- Co-create training programmes that build awareness and capability across diverse teams
- Influence behavioural change through tools that assess and grow H&S cultural maturity
- Identify key safety risks and help design effective controls for long-term resilience
- Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and personal legacy across all levels of WG&S
Our Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in developing and implementing global H&S systems and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive strategic decisions
- Experience working with senior leadership and audit functions to influence and embed compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse cultures and geographies.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive leadership and cultural transformation.
