Job Introduction
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the Stocks Business Unit (SBU) Finance team based in Strathclyde Business Park (SBP). This is a key role supporting the preparation, review, and delivery of accurate financial reporting and analysis, ensuring stakeholders have timely and accurate information to support effective decision making. This role also has a strong focus on financial controls, compliance, and ensuring alignment with group policies and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibility
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting both monthly management accounts and year-end processes in line with Group requirements. You will play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting cycle, helping to set and monitor realistic financial targets. You will also monitor working capital, particularly inventory and wood and warehouse capital. Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with internal policies and external accounting standards will be essential, alongside supporting external audit requirements. You’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders across finance and operations teams, helping to drive performance and improve processes. You will also be involved in the preparation of spirit rates. Additionally, you’ll support and contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. This is a hands-on, varied role with significant opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the business.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified accountant with strong excel skills. You will also be confident in your abilities to communicate (both verbal and written) and build rapport with stakeholders and leaders across the business and be able to establish positive working relationships.
