Job Introduction

We are looking for someone who has a passion for working in the craft beverage industry that is motivated, mechanically inclined and a team player.
Main Responsibility
You will be trained to safely operate designated production assets and/or other production line tasks specified quality standards in compliance with all relevant legislation.
And will be responsible for:
• Setting up relevant equipment each day according to established procedures; handles movement of finished product, i.e. barrels or spirit, to desired locations.
• Receiving wash from fermentation, notifying management immediately of any issues which could affect the distillation schedule.
• Operate relevant equipment to produce distillate and intermediate products in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Use controls in an efficient manner to maximize efficiency
• Follow established safety procedures and wears proper safety equipment for operation of each machine.
• Only operates machinery for which one has been licensed/certified, and contacts management when any incident occurs.

Our Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a relevant industry - Brewing/Winemaking /Distillation/Ethanol Production
- Flexible with shift arrangements
- Physically able
- Proven learning aptitude
Desirable:
- Brewing or distillation qualification (IBD or equivalent)
- Engineering/Biochemistry or related fields
- Experience with PC’s – word / excel etc
- Lift truck license
