Director – Division Marketing

Job Introduction

Are you ready to learn and be challenged as part of a highly motivated, trusted team at the heart of a thriving business? Our Commercial Planning team is looking for a rare character to lead our Division Marketing strategy by optimizing and executing the division marketing plans with excellence.  

Main Responsibility

The Director - Division Marketing will oversee development of all divisional and key geography marketing plans to ensure alignment with portfolio priorities, brand strategies, and market priorities. They will lead the development of marketing plans for the Independent and Franchise Division. This role will manage the Division Marketing planning process by collaborating with Commercial Planning, Brand Marketing, the Commercial leadership, and our dedicated distributor partners. They will oversee local programs and M&E to understand execution effectiveness, and leverage analysis learnings to optimize programming and channel planning. They also serve as a mentor and coach to a team of direct reports. They show a positive commitment and ability to work and communicate productively with colleagues and a network of 3rd party partners.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is required to bring 7-10 years of experience in brand, trade/shopper, commercial, and/or marketing in the spirits or consumer packaged goods industry. In addition, our ideal candidate will clearly demonstrate strategic critical thinking and the ability to create strategic plans, prioritizing decisions, and strong problem-solving skills.

Additional skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration, is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen.
  • Strong finance and budgeting background.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with formulas and data analysis is required.
  • Experience leading brand communications and providing strategic guidance for an organization.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of direct reports.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Advanced influencing skills and account management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives.
  • Excessive travel might be necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Our location preference for this role is NYC; open to discussing remote home-based locations within the US. International or domestic relocation assistance is not offered
