We are seeking an experienced and influential Corporate Affairs Director to lead our global corporate affairs agenda: navigating complex regulatory and political environments, translating emerging developments into clear business implications, and representing the organisation with credibility and impact.
Acting as the central point of contact for corporate affairs matters, you will work closely with senior leaders to anticipate emerging policy challenges, shape the organisation’s response and advance the interests of the WG&S Group with key external stakeholders. These will include trade associations, social responsibility organisations, government representatives and policy makers.

As Corporate Affairs Director, you will:
- Shape and deliver a global corporate affairs strategy that advances the organisation’s commercial objectives and strengthens its position in key markets.
- Influence policy and regulatory developments by building trusted relationships with trade associations, industry bodies and other external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on emerging legislative, regulatory and reputational risks and opportunities, ensuring informed business decision-making.
- Protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation and licence to operate by leading advocacy efforts and supporting responsible business and social responsibility initiatives.
- Establish a coordinated and effective corporate affairs capability by aligning stakeholders, driving consistent positions across markets and contributing to the leadership and development of the wider Legal and Corporate Affairs function.
Unser idealer Kandidat/in
You will be an accomplished corporate affairs, public affairs or government affairs professional with the judgement, confidence and credibility to operate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for:
- Significant corporate, government or public affairs experience, with a minimum of five years in a relevant field and experience within the alcohol beverage or a closely related regulated sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, legislative and policy environments.
- The ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources, identify the key implications and develop well-considered strategies, actions and communications.
- A demonstrated ability to understand the business and industry landscape.
- A strong track record of building trusted relationships and effective networks at multiple levels, both internally and externally.
- The ability to articulate and advocate a clear corporate position with credibility.
- Advanced influencing, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Success in this role will require an agile, strategic thinker who is also comfortable turning ideas into action with a hands on, delivery focussed approach. You will make confident, well-informed decisions, anticipate future challenges and bring together different perspectives to establish clear corporate positions.
You will be a persuasive communicator and skilled relationship-builder, able to influence through formal and informal channels. You will also take a rigorous approach to research, learning and knowledge-sharing, ensuring that senior leaders and relevant teams have the information and insight needed to make sound decisions.
