Continuous Improvement Leader

Job Introduction

WG&S currently have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join our team at SBP, to support the implementation of the OBU improvement agenda with particular focus on embedding our continuous improvement program in Packaging Operations.

Main Responsibility

  • Support in the implementation of the Team Performance System and other continuous improvement programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Visual management and other established continuous improvement practices
  • Deliver training to site teams and team leaders on core CI activities and provide ongoing coaching to develop their skills and capability
  • Deliver improvement projects and ensure they are delivered within agreed timeframe, scope and budget
  • Co-ordinate the development of Standards to support the program and enable consistent implementation
  • Build strong cross functional relationships that ensure the embedding of a sustainable continuous improvement culture and be responsible for embedding a culture of change management that is rigorously adhered to
  • Lead the development and implementation of business systems, resulting in the delivery of real-time information which is visible, meaningful and supports the delivery of the goals and targets of the business

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Expert level of understanding in continual improvement principles and practices
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of ‘Best in Class’ manufacturing techniques, processes and principles
  • Demonstrable experience of working in Continuous Improvement roles and delivering significant improvements
  • Knowledge and experience of Supply Chain Management and bottling operations is desirable
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex problems into simple solutions.
