Job Introduction

The US spirits market is one of the most dynamic, exciting (and regulated!) spirits markets globally.  As the principal point person for all state brand registration and licensing needs for our business, the Paralegal role is integral to providing front line legal support that helps the business maximize the opportunities for our incredible portfolio of brands while ensuring all gate compliance obligations are met.  If you’re up for a challenge, this opportunity might be for you!

Main Responsibility

You will provide support as a paralegal to our US business across all functions.  This means one day you might be preparing and filing registrations for the newest entry in Hendrick’s Cabinet of Curiosity line; the next drafting board resolutions and updating all business licenses held by the company; then participating in meetings with global teams with respect labeling procedures and timelines effecting new packaging or brand launches; or reviewing the permit requirements to endure office posting mandates for our New York Midtown office are up to code.  In a fast-paced dynamic business, pretty much any and every type of legal work is in scope for our dynamic team, and this role will be a critical department member ensuring that the team is delivering quality, competent legal support across the organization. You won’t be on your own though. There is an internal, experienced legal team you can lean on to support you, and you’ll instruct and work with external counsel too.

Our Ideal Candidate

You succeed at what you start! You’re curious, inquisitive, ambitious and like a challenge. You are a self-starter who loves working as part of a cohesive unit. Your confidence is evident, but never perceived as arrogant. You know what you don’t know, and when you don’t have all the answers, you are savvy and know who to go to and how to find them. You are a clear, concise communicator, both verbal and written. You have energy and want to have fun at work. You are an experienced paralegal and your technical skills have been honed a bit. If this sounds like you, then we’re keen to hear from you!

The salary range for this role, based out of our NYC office, is $87,948 - $99,007.

Additional skills and qualifications needed for this role:

  • Paralegal certificate.
  • Post-qualification experience
  • Experience providing legal research.
