Commercial/Sales Intern

Job Introduction

We have an excellent internship opportunity for a talented individual currently enrolled in an accredited university for their undergraduate or graduate level of studies. This internship will help create and implement impactful change within our National Accounts On Premise Commercial Sales team! We’re looking for a rare character to join us in this remote position this summer! 

Please note that benefits are not applicable due to the fact that the internship is a temporary, part-time position less than 29 hours/week. Therefore, please disregard the benefits summary. Our internship is expected to run for 11 weeks (29 hours/ week) from June 5 to August 18, 2023. The program is designed to provide exceptional current college students interested in a career in consumer goods with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of William Grant & Sons.

Hourly rate, if candidates are:

Undergraduate: $23/hour

Graduate: $25/hour

Main Responsibility

  • Own an individual project with strategic business impact and present the project to senior leaders at the end of the 11 weeks
  • Use data analysis and optimization tools to execute process improvement solutions in key/assigned  functional area
  • In support of assigned projects:
    • Interact with multiple functions and team members in our US team
    • Track and analyze data
    • Observe/review existing procedures, identify the absence of key procedures, and pose recommendations and solutions
    • Assist with creating reports and presentations

Our Ideal Candidate

Must be at least 21 years of age. It is important for our Intern to be agile, have a strong work ethic, and be a team player. They have an inherent curiosity to quickly learn and grasp new information and a strong desire to make an impact and drive results. Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or in a Graduate level degree program with relevant coursework in business/communications or similar field with 3.0 GPA or above. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Power Point, Teams, and have strong communication skills. This role is not eligible for relocation.
