Commercial Finance Manager - Control States

Job Introduction

We are seeking for a Commercial Finance Manager to support our Control States sales team. In this role, you will aid in budgeting and forecasting, helping the team achieve financial goals through detailed financial reporting and analysis. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Finance Director and the divisional sales team to drive financial performance.

This role can be home-based within the BBG & Control States Division or based out of our offices in New York, NY or Edison, NJ on a hybrid basis.

Main Responsibility

The Commercial Finance Manager - Control States prepares and analyzes financial reports on depletion, pricing calendars, customer discounts, and advertising and promotion spending. This role also assists in developing and implementing financial objectives alongside the Commercial Finance Director while supporting the sales team by providing financial insights and analyses to meet performance targets.
 

Our Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. To succeed in this role, you should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in MS Excel. 

Other skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (preferred but not essential).
  • At least 5 years of finance support experience.
  • Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry is a plus but not required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Proven leadership skills with the potential to advance to a senior role.
  • Ability to organize effectively, plan ahead, and align team processes with timelines.
  • Strong ethical standards in financial control.
  • Understanding of sales and local marketing tactics to achieve regional profit goals and enhance brand equity.
  • Accountability in managing critical company resources.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including air travel.
