Channel Manager - Off Premise Metro NY

We are looking for a sales professional to support the Franchise & Independent division in the off-premise channel in Metro New York.  

Main Responsibility

The Channel Manager – Off Premise for Metro NY is responsible for driving market level sales activities and programs in conjunction with distributor/broker activities in order to achieve predetermined brand, volume, KPI (Key Performance Indicators) objectives. They manage and oversee all local activities to ensure that the Division Commercial team and Distributor/broker efforts are focused on appropriate accounts, territories, and channels in order to achieve WG&S long-term objectives.
 
 

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder. They develop strong relationships with our distributor partners and other key members of the trade. They have analytical skills to evaluate and report on market results as well as provide recommendations to the Distributor Manager on needed market actions to align with objective plan achievement. 
They also provide educational trainings as needed with partnership of WG&S brand ambassadors and manage distributor teams to leverage and ensure flawless execution of all promotion activity in the market. They manage their budget to ensure that promotion monies are effectively spent and maximize value creation. 

Additional required skills and qualifications:

•    They will have a strong understanding of the alcohol beverage and spirits industry, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience; working on the supplier side and in the retail off-premise channel will be highly valued. 
•    A proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen. 
•    Understanding of financial budgeting 
•    Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills 
•    Advanced influencing skills and distributor management capabilities 
•    Effective problem-solving skills and good analysis skills 
•    Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives 
•    Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including understanding of data analysis is preferrd
•    Excessive travel might be necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
•    Must have a valid driver’s license 
•    Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred 

The salary range for this role, based out of NYC, is $102,216 - $119,725.

This role is not eligible for international or domestic relocation.
