Business Process Analyst - Plan to Perform Workstream

Job Introduction

Are you ready to help shape how we plan, forecast and manage performance across Finance? Our Finance Transformation programme is looking for a Business Process Analyst to join the Plan to Perform Workstream and play a key role in transforming critical finance processes. 

This is a hands-on opportunity to work at the heart of a major transformation programme, helping design simpler, more consistent and insight-led planning processes that improve decision-making and performance management. 

Reporting to the Plan to Perform Workstream Lead, you will collaborate across Finance and related functions to turn analysis into action, support delivery and help build the foundations for our future operating model. 

This is a 2 year fixed-term contract to support the delivery of our Finance Transformation Programme.

 

Main Responsibility

  • Support delivery across the Plan to Perform Workstream by coordinating stakeholder input, tracking actions and providing clear progress updates.
  • Bring clarity to the process landscape by defining scope, responsibilities, hand-offs, operating principles and service expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise budgeting, forecasting and performance management, enabling Finance to focus more on insight and decision support.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods, including LEAN or similar approaches, to support root cause analysis, waste reduction and cycle time improvement.
  • Turn detailed process analysis into practical outputs that inform design decisions, reporting improvements and future ways of working.
  • Contribute to key workstream outputs, including process requirements, KPI definitions and governance materials.
  • Support change from design through to go-live and business as usual handover, helping improvements land and embed successfully.
  • Identify, track and support resolution of risks,issues and dependencies, including links to IFS rollout activity and adjacent finance processes.
  • Help prepare the business for planning tools, reporting solutions and workflow requirements that support a more efficient future model.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for governance discussions, decision-making, stakeholder communication and change activity.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, turning insight into action and working with others to make things better. You may have experience in business process analysis, continuous improvement, finance transformation or workstream delivery, and will be confident working with detailed information, producing clear documentation and engaging stakeholders across Finance and related functions. If you are organised, analytical, curious and motivated by making a practical difference, this role offers the chance to contribute to a high-profile transformation while building valuable change, process and delivery experience. 

This Role Would Suit Someone Who: 

  • Has experience in business analysis, continuous improvement, finance transformation or project delivery support.
  • Brings strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to create structure and clarity from complex planning and performance activity.
  • Understands budgeting, forecasting, performance manage mentor planning-related reporting processes.
  • Isa confident organiser and communicator who can coordinate actions, engage stakeholders and support delivery in a programme environment.
  • Wants to play a meaningful part in our Finance Transformation programme and shape a more consistent, efficient and insight-led Plan to Perform operating model.
