Accounts Payable Associate

Job Introduction

The Accounts Payable Associate works with the Finance team to handle day-to-day accounts payable functions: including AP vendor maintenance, entering AP invoices and credits, complying with three-way match PO process, produce weekly & ad-hoc payment proposals and research for the WG&S Accounting & Finance team. 

Main Responsibility

The Accounts Payable Associate will process and match vendor invoices, purchase order vouchers to prepare weekly payment proposals.  They will verify invoices are authorized, approved and flag any questionable items.  They will maintain the AP vendor files, prepare validation reports for 1099’s mailings and filings.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have strong organization and task skills as this role requires accuracy in processing large quantities of invoices accuracy, following up with vendors to problem solve issues.  Minimum of 2 – 3 years of related experience with an on-line Accounts Payable ERP application. With proficiency with Microsoft applications.                                               
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
•    College degree from a four year institution preferred with a background in Accounting related field
•    Minimum of 2 – 3 years of related experience with an on-line Accounts Payable ERP application 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel 
•    Excellent written & oral communication skills
•    Strong communication, organizational and task management skills 
•    Ability to work both autonomously and with team 
•    Orientation to detail, with a specific focus on accuracy 
•    Self-motivation
•    Ability to learn new software and adapt to changes in role and business

Desirable:
•    Experience with IFS AP module a plus
