Visitor Experience Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking to hire a Visitor Experience Manager for the Tuthilltown Visitor Center at the Hudson Whiskey site which is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate Gardiner, New York. This position will deliver a best in class experience for all visitors & guests while also building the long term strategy & plan for the future.

Main Responsibility

  • Lead the development and implementation of a new strategy to rejuvenate the Tuthilltown Visitor Experience fully utilizing the Marketing / Site Ambassadors, Retail Staff and Site Mixologist along with other relevant resources, A&P etc.  
  • Leadership and management of the Visitor Center activities and Visitor Center Team Members to support delivery of all team KPI’s in line with Company Values
  • Establishing and tracking relevant metrics comparing progress to local, company and benchmarked metrics, producing relevant management reports to be used in key decision making.
  • Delivery of high levels of customer service, internally and externally, through the use of own resources and by building relationships with key local, national and international stakeholders
  • Accountability for the Visitor Experience P&L’s; improving margins, providing insight on financial performance and ensuring a robust financial control framework is in place.
  • Ensure all key internal departments are fully informed and aligned on activities & initiatives.
  • Ensure that BBU functions are compliant with Health & Safety, Environmental, TTB and all other relevant regulatory requirements.

Our ideal candidate is a strong dedicated people leader who both supports and challenges their team to be their absolute best by setting objectives and managing their performance.  Someone who is self motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to implement change in a fast paced environment.  Setting and developing strategies is a key component to this position along with developing a robust budget, maximize earnings and deliver a best in class experience in line with the Hudson brand. Skills and qualifications should include 4+ years relevant experience; experience leading, setting objectives, performance management and developing your team to their potential; manage P & L's and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and experience in retail, events or tourism in a high quality branded environment is desired.
