William Grant & Sons is looking for a Vice President – Commercial Planning & Execution to join the senior Commercial leadership team.
Main Responsibility
The Vice President – Commercial Planning & Execution will have responsibility for commercial planning, division marketing, shopper marketing, category & customer development, as well as net revenue management teams. The role will be responsible for ensuring there is consistency of strategy and alignment across WG&S priorities. They will own and deliver a new and evolved commercial planning process with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of the commercial 5YP. The VP – Commercial Planning & Execution leads the strategic vision and implementation of Local Activation Management process. It is vital this role leads, motivates, and develops a high performing commercial planning and commercial execution team that is capable of delivering against channel account and brand strategies
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is required to bring 10+ years of experience in brand, trade/shopper, commercial, and marketing in the spirits or consumer packaged goods industry. In addition, our ideal candidate will clearly demonstrate strategic critical thinking through experience with formulating commercial planning strategies. They must be results oriented and be comfortable navigating ambiguity. They must have experience building rapport quickly to establish genuine relationships and leadership experience with a proven track record of coaching and leading Director level team members.
Additional skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, is strongly preferred.
- A proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen.
- Strong finance and budgeting background.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with formulas and data analysis is required.
- Experience leading brand communications and providing strategic guidance for an organization.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of direct reports.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Advanced influencing skills and account management capabilities.
- Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives.
- Excessive travel might be necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license
The salary range for this role, based out of the NYC office, is $201,768- $234,221
This role is not eligible for international or domestic relocation.
