Spirit Supply Team Leader (Cask Management)

Job Introduction

Do you want to lead a dynamic team responsible for all incoming casks, their quality, their efficient movement around our site and their suitability for filling? Our industry leading distillery site in Girvan is looking for a rare character to lead the cask management team as we transform our approach to wood management.

Main Responsibility

With a focus on leadership, safety and quality you will lead our spirit supply cask management team and all of their activities. You and your team will be accountable for the safe & efficient management of all incoming casks, quality control of casks, light cask repairs & delivery of casks between our storage compound to filling lines. You will lead your teams’ daily operating rhythm meetings & weekly improvement (TPS) meetings; identifying your teams top performance issues and lead the team in root cause, corrective actions. You will be responsible for managing an operational budget, FLT servicing contracts & repairs and equipment upgrade projects.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader. You will have demonstrated an ability to manage complex problems and multiple different priorities. You will be a self-starter with resilience, clear communication skills & excellent problem solving. Experience of Coopering and DRAMS would be desirable but not essential.
