Job Introduction

The home of Hudson Whiskey is looking for part-time support in carrying out general construction tasks to maintain and improve the site. This will involve carrying out allocated work in relation to facilities maintenance incorporating the safe maintenance, service, inspection and repair of all associated equipment and facilities within the boundaries of recognized best practice as well as providing janitorial support throughout the site.

Main Responsibility

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as painting, basic maintenance and decorating across site as required.
• Provide janitorial service to all operational spaces, office area and the Visitor Center to ensure visitor ready at all times.
• Ensure areas for improvement are highlighted, recorded and actioned. Support leadership team with implementation of continual improvement projects.
• Carry out routine Forklift Truck activities on site as required (i.e. unloading deliveries).
• Assist with site wide snow clearance and routing site aesthetic improvements (landscaping, power washing, painting etc.).
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety & environmental legislation, safe systems of work and documented procedures during all work activities.
• Support the maintenance Team Leader in the execution of the Asset Maintenance Strategy.
• Working within a high performing team culture, contribute appropriately to team meetings and support the implementation of site strategy, production plans and continuous improvement projects.

Our Ideal Candidate

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of working within defined safety, quality, environmental and food safety standards and procedures
  • Basic site maintenance skills with high standards of workmanship – painting, general site maintenance/repairs
  • FLT licence
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Has the ability to work safely, accurately and demonstrates attention to detail across all key responsibilities
  • A self-reliant individual who has the interpersonal skills to interact across a number of different areas of the site
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills with good attention to detail and high personal standards
  • Flexible nature and prepared to undertake additional tasks to support the site strategy
