Route to Consumer Deployment Head India and Middle East

Job Introduction

Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to optimise our Route to Market in India & the Middle East and work with a dynamic, high priority, and fast-growing portfolio of brands? Brands like Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, Monkey Shoulder and Hendrick's Gin! We are looking for an experienced commercial leader to develop and lead the delivery of the India & Middle East Route to Consumer (RTC) agenda and execution plan. This role will leverage market maturity assessments and align with agreed-upon priorities to enhance specific RTC capabilities

Main Responsibility

  • Lead development and execution of annual RTC/MMA action plan and ensure delivery of RTC executional KPI’s.
  • In partnership with the market teams, lead the enhancement of Route to Market capabilities including outlet universe mapping, service models, wholesaler/distributor engagement, SFA and Sales Operations processes.
  • Lead the local implementation of the future state commercial operations model, working with partners to obtain, ingest and leverage data to enhance the effectiveness of our sales teams through actionable insights & technology.
  • Partner with local and global marketing teams to optimise execution and activation plans based on priority segments, occasions and insight, supported by the appropriate commercial investment and M&E.
  • Drive the operating rhythm forward by embedding RTC touchpoints into commercial planning calendar, process and deliverables, including lockdown meetings and sales briefings.
  • Provide progress reports to the leadership team and any global forums to ensure that RTC is reported and governed with key metrics as part of the on-going business performance. 
  • Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with key internal stakeholders including Brand, Commercial, Managing Director's and Global RTC to ensure the delivery of key projects, share best practices and ensure China commercial planning strategies are built on strong cross-functional input and aligned across the WGS organization. 

Our Ideal Candidate

Our Ideal Candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record in Route to Consumer or similar commercial roles, preferably with India and/or the Middle East. They possess strong analytical skills, cultural awareness, and fluency in English. With exceptional communication abilities and experience guiding cross-functional teams, this individual can build alignment across stakeholders and drive RTC improvements. Their expertise in interpreting market maturity assessments will enable them to craft and execute strategies that enhance consumer engagement and optimize growth in the market.  

 

Key Things To Note About This Role 

  • This position is eligible for hybrid working under the company’s hybrid working policy which requires presence on-site/in-office 3 days a week. 
  • This position is based in Dubai but requires regular travel throughout the region and further internationally from time-to-time.
