Regional Managing Director UK, France & Southern Europe

Job Introduction

The UK, France, and Southern Europe is a critical strategic region for WG&S premium and luxury spirits business, with strong category growth and premiumisation dynamics. Having established a prominent position in the region, we are looking for a Regional Managing Director to unlock the next phase of growth for the William Grant & Sons portfolio. The purpose of the role is to define the long-term strategy for the region and work with our owned distribution businesses and third party distribution partners to deliver long-term sustainable value growth.

 

Main Responsibility

You will develop the Branded Business Unit’s (BBU) 5-year plan and annual budget for the region in line with the global commercial plan, A&P guidelines and strategic choices which deliver against the corporate objectives

You will manage and deliver the BBU regional P&L performance and ensure sustainable growth and profitability for the Company, in order to build brand equity and long-term sustainable value

You will build and manage an effective distribution network of wholly owned subsidiaries (in partnership) and third-party partners. Manage and effectively track depletion and stock in trade levels, investment allocations, innovation, and prioritisation for the region

As a key member of the Branded Business Unit leadership team, you will lead , inspire & develop a highly capable team in line with the company values to maximise employee performance and engagement

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have considerable commercial leadership experience with a proven track record of growing businesses and nurturing brands in developed international markets. Results oriented with a “can do” attitude, you are culturally aware, able to adapt personal style as needed and you work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders (commercial, marketing, finance and supply chain teams). You are an exceptional leader and team player, willing to manage a range of tasks from strategic to hands on operational delivery.
