Regional Director Southern Europe

Job Introduction

The Southern Europe region is an important market for premium and luxury spirits, with good underlying category growth and premiumisation dynamics. Having already established a strong footprint in the region, we are looking for a Regional Director to unlock the next phase of growth for the William Grant & Sons portfolio. The purpose of the role is to define the long-term strategy for the region and work with a motivated internal and distributor team to deliver superior commercial execution to achieve long-term sustainable sales and profit growth.

Main Responsibility

Develop and deliver the Regional Strategy by identifying the most attractive value pools and Route to Consumer opportunities, optimising the value of WG&S brands within them, seeking ways to gain competitive advantage and effectively prioritise resources. Responsible for implementing the strategy in markets through the WG&S Brand Business Unit team alongside a motivated network of third party distributors.  

Accountable for managing and controlling the regional P&L to ensure budget delivery, taking responsibility for the financial forecasting & 5-year planning.

As a key member of the UK, France and Southern Europe leadership team, you will lead, inspire and develop your team in line with the company values to maximise employee performance and engagement.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have considerable commercial leadership experience with a proven track record of growing businesses and nurturing brands in the Southern Europe region or at a global level. Results oriented with a “can do” attitude, you are culturally aware, able to adapt personal style as needed and you work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders (commercial, marketing, finance and supply chain teams). You are an exceptional leader and team player, willing to manage a range of tasks from strategic to hands on operational delivery.
