Portfolio Manager

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the GTS organisation for a Portfolio Manager. The Portfolio Manager will lead the IT product and service landscape.

The Portfolio Manager will ensure deployment, operation, and life-cycle management of the IT portfolio according to defined service level agreements, requirements, timeline, cost and quality and ways of working.

Main Responsibility

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include;

  • Propose the definition, planning and management of IT portfolio projects including, scope, timeline, hardware and software procurement, resource allocation and execution ensuring defined standards are met, generating business value and competitive advantage
  • Analyse and maintain deep understanding of business requirements and related IT portfolio
  • Identify streamline potential with deployments, share best-practices and implement continuous improvement actions
  • Facilitate collaboration between business functions regarding IT infrastructure requirements and solutions
  • Collaborate and support the Architecture teams with scouting in new technologies and innovations
  • Report IT portfolio status, while managing knowledge documentation and updates

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working and engaging at senior leadership level
  • Experience of working in a global IT team
  • Background in IT project and Portfolio delivery
  • Experience of working in a fast paced technology environment, managing complex IT portfolio services
  • Proven experience taking a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating and managing uncertainty
  • A self starter with excellent communication skills
