Operational Quality Engineer

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operational Quality Engineer, to develop, implement and maintain a robust quality assurance system, supporting operations to ensure that required quality standards are achieved so that luxury portfolio meets market and customer expectations.

Main Responsibility

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include;

  • Support the commissioning/trialling of new products and engineering projects by making sure that standards and QIC documents are available at point of use and that there is a process to update on completion of trial/commissioning.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation and maintenance of Standards for all newly developed luxury products, ensuring that these are clearly communicated to manufacturing & quality teams in advance of any trialling/commissioning.
  • Manage the non-conforming product process end to end, carrying out trending and analysis to report on performance as part of Arete quality KPI’s.
  • Facilitate and set agreed standards for the validation of quality and food safety processes to confirm accuracy.
  • Facilitate and support the Arete site in all Quality System and food safety matters to ensure compliance to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate incoming verification of newly developed luxury materials, checking against supplier QIC standards. Report results, and follow up on any required actions.
  • Organize, and where necessary conduct, inspections of Dry Goods and finished product carrying out trending and analysis on inspection results as part of the Arete quality KPI’s.
  • Support the customer and consumer complaints process, working with the operations team on corrective and preventative actions, and report findings as part of Arete quality KPI’s
  • Support Supplier Non Conformance management systems, ensuring effective communication of issues within operations and the validation and verification of corrective and preventative actions as part of the Arete quality KPI’s

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be an accredited Internal Auditor/Lead Assessor with knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards, as well as a recognised Food Safety management system qualification, ideally to HACCP Level 3.

 

Applicants should be self-motivated, confident, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a working knowledge of Luxury packaging and botting standards.

 

Experience and knowledge of customer expectations in the luxury/premium sector and knowledge of the manufacture of components and supplier production processes would also be beneficial.
