Operational Maintenance Area Leader

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for an Operational Maintenance Area Leader to join the business, to lead, control and develop SBP Operational Maintenance, ensuring delivery of key results in line with overall site strategy and compliance with all relevant legislation.

Main Responsibility

  • Promote, develop and embed a collaborative approach with bottling operations, other technical/engineering/production functions and external stakeholders as required.
  • Define, develop and implement the five year production maintenance strategy in line with Company and Business Unit strategic objectives.
  • Lead the Production Maintenance function ensuring operational engineering standards are compliant with Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation in order to maintain full compliance with all regulatory bodies.
  • Measure Operational Equipment Performance KPI’s to ensure these are achieved in accordance with agreed scope and time and within business constraints.
  • Provide leadership for the Production Maintenance team in line with Company Values to maximise employee engagement.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of best practice processes and failure elimination techniques to ensure a program of ongoing continuous improvement in relation to general maintenance and a whole life-cycle approach to asset ownership. Devise specific tools and techniques to deliver maximised asset reliability and ensure relevant users are trained and able to deploy effectively.
  • Provide monthly progress status to Site Operations Leader, identifying risks and implementing any remedial actions plans whilst recognising/highlighting any future opportunities.
  • Manage the Operational Maintenance budget in terms of plant reliability, legislative compliance and fixed costs for maximum site benefit

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Experience of Project Management principles and managing a Cost Centre budget
  • Proven leader who can set objectives, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their potential
  • Pragmatic problem solving skills with the ability to contend and deliver with conflicting priorities
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and experience of applying these within a manufacturing environment.
