The Manager, US Communications role provides a unique opportunity to work across one of the fastest growing spirits portfolios in the US housing some of the world’s most awarded and preeminent brands. Founded in 1887, William Grant & Sons is an independent family-owned distiller which today continues to be run by the fifth-generation of the William Grant family. As an internal specialist to the marketing and extended cross-functional teams, the Manager, US Communications’ objective will be to ensure our brands and our company get a disproportionate share of voice and mind within traditional, non-traditional, social media and other external platforms and, by extension, with our trade partners and consumers. This dynamic, fast-paced environment is built for passionate rare characters to thrive and grow while gaining expertise into the ever-evolving liquor industry.

Main Responsibility

Partnering with the Director, US Communications, the Manager, US Communications will help supervise the company’s relationship with all PR/advocacy agencies, leading the day-to-day review and management of all brand public relations/external relations activities. In addition, this person will collaborate with brand teams to oversee strategic influencer marketing programs, bridge the gap between cross-functional teams (E-commerce, Region Marketing, Luxury, Sales, etc.) while managing and executing the company’s internal communications by being a liaison to the global corporate communications team and championing success across PR, marketing and sales amongst the global internal audience and key external stakeholders.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate brings 6+ years of public relations and communications experience having spent the majority of that time at an agency developing a strong understanding of the traditional and new media landscape, building solid relationships with press and cultural drivers while managing partnerships and projects that drive earned media results. Alcohol beverage company experience is a plus and agency management experience is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and amongst an inter-agency team.
