Job Introduction
Our Logistics Manager is a vital leadership role within our Operations Unit responsible for directing and maintaining strong oversight of the US Logistics function to ensure all distribution activities (including but not limited to shipping, receiving, and warehousing) are executed by team members and staff to plan, process, procedure and in full compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements (i.e., WGW, Health & Safety, BRC, TTB, CTPAT, customs, etc.).
Main Responsibility
A typical day in this position includes, but is not limited to:
- Driving continuous improvements and new ways of working through the identification and resolution of functional gap areas using sound methodology and best-in-class distribution/warehouse practices.
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for all functional specific activities (ex. verifying inbound/outbound inventory, managing merchandise and customer orders, etc.).
- Championing Safety and Quality initiatives within the Logistics function to deliver best-in-class product, customer service, and employee safety; partnering with Safety and Quality functions to achieve related standards and needs.
- Leading, motivating, and developing the collective Logistics team (both union and non-union) in line with company values to maximize employee engagement. Building professional relationships with subordinates that fosters trust and respect.
- Developing, fostering, and maintaining strong relationships with Shop Steward and union representatives as appropriate to resolve challenges and escalated matters; maintaining in-depth working knowledge, application of, and compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Investigating and resolving customer complaints (ex. damaged product, shipment delays, etc.); identifying and implementing associated corrective actions at pace.
- Developing and implementing regular and/or special projects as needed to manage non-saleable product, minimize/eliminate variation, and deliver capital plans within agreed scope, budget, and timeframe.
- Developing, fostering, and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with Production, Engineering, and cross business unit colleagues in support of ensuring availability or product and devising innovative, collaborative, and value add methods to drive efficiencies and improvements.
- Leading the hands-on execution of bi-monthly Finished Good Inventory counts; providing proactive hands-on support with monthly Dry Good and Bailment State Finished Good counts as needed.

This role also requires the following skills and qualifications:
- At minimum, a HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required, though a bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred
- Extensive previous experience leading and managing a complex logistics, distribution, and/or supply chain network, function, or site required
- Previous experience within the sprits of beverage industry a plus; prior import/trade/customs in a global FMCG environment preferred
- In-depth experience within a unionized environment, including demonstrated history of navigating and negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements required
- Strong business writing capability and flexible communication style to deliver polices, papers, trainings, presentations, etc.
- Ability and willingness to work hands-on to support warehouse/team needs, while also managing upward and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated history of applying sound Project Management and problem-solving skills to deliver and manage capital, special, and improvement projects from conception to final delivery
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Key things to note about this role: This position is a full-time on-site role and is not eligible for remote or hybrid working. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. No agencies please.
