Front-End Developer- 12-18 month FTC

Job Introduction

We have a portfolio of amazing brands which now need to be supported by best-in-class websites and digital experiences that do them justice.

Given the importance of this new role, we are looking for an experienced (3+ years) design focused front-end developer who is energised by getting their hands dirty whilst also comfortable working with and guiding agencies where appropriate.

Main Responsibility

This role is the first developer hire in the team and as a result will have a leading role in shaping the website function at a global level.

With a wide range of unique global brands it is essential that the developer is comfortable working across the breadth of the portfolio and being able to understand and interpret the needs of each individual brand and their consumers.

This will require a heavy interest in design so that the each website can accurately communicate the brand’s story, along with a strong understanding of UI and UX to ensure our sites offer an engaging and seamless consumer experience.

The candidate will play an active role in defining the tech-stack along with building libraries of reusable code to drive efficiencies in future projects. Along with writing code, the role will also know when to utilise agencies and be comfortable and experienced managing these relationships.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a design focused front-end developer with around 3 to 5 years’ experience. The candidate should be as comfortable writing code (react, next.js) as they are with the core concepts of UI and UX design along with having a strong understanding of digital marketing.

The candidate will have their finger on the pulse for all things tech and design and have the ambition to be a foundational member of what will become a best-in-class team producing market leading digital experiences.
