Compliance and Quality Systems Advisor (10 month FTC)

Job Introduction

Are you passionate about maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards? At William Grant & Sons, we are seeking a Compliance and Quality Systems Advisor (on a 10-month FTC basis)  to ensure our products meet rigorous safety and quality requirements while driving continuous improvement.

In this role, you’ll support and advise our operation sites in maintaining, enhancing and applying governance to a full range of our internal processes. Your expertise will help us uphold our quality systems and food safety standards, contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Main Responsibility

  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance and governance with food safety regulations certification standards, and internal processes.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, you will work closely with the BRC and ISO 9001 programmes, maintaining the quality management system.
  • You will also collaborate with the Supplier Quality team around supplied material governance,  assist in the auditing of new co-packer partners and suppliers, and the  investigation of customer complaints, ensuring preventive actions are implemented effectively.
  • Additionally, you will lead or support projects aimed at improving quality systems, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, and ensuring our quality standards remain industry-leading.

Our Ideal Candidate

Must have:

  • Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and take ownership of tasks to drive them to completion.
  • Decisive and able to take initiative.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in quality governance and compliance.
  • Experience in quality systems and food safety management.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and Ireland (up to 15%).

Nice to have:

  • Technical experience with packaging raw materials and packaging processes.
  • Knowledge of certification standards, including BRC and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in using Quality Management System tools such as IQMS or similar.
