Category Manager- Off Trade (FTC till 31/8/2022)

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity to join our UK category team working across some of our largest off trade retail partners under a 6 month FTC.  This role will work closely with our Senior Category Manager and team to deliver triple win strategies against our brand and commercial objectives. 

Main Responsibility

As part of the category team, you will be accountable for leading the agenda with some of our largest premium off trade retail partners to ensure we deliver against our premium partner of choice strategy.  You will work closely with the Senior Category Manager to execute effective category development solutions based on sound consumer, shopper and customer insights that allow WG&S to win at the point of purchase.    


The role will require good internal and external stakeholder management skills as you will  play a key role in various initiatives and projects.  You will work to focus support across retail and meta channels as we look to accelerate our performance as part of 5 year plan.  The role will require you to engage not only external customers, but the wider internal cross functional teams and stakeholders across the commercial and marketing functions within the UK business.

Our Ideal Candidate

Strong category management experience is a must with a strong understanding & proven track record across the grocery channel.  The ideal candidate will have a result orientated mindset and a proven track record of delivering against key priorities.  A positive and creative nature will be evident with a strong focus on finding a way for WG&S to ‘win’ through a triple win approach.  Our ideal candidate will have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver actions from insight in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
