Brand Ambassador

Job Introduction

We’re looking for our next Monkey Shoulder Brand Ambassador - a rare and exciting opportunity to join the brand at a pivotal moment of growth! You’ll be the face and energy of Monkey Shoulder, building strong relationships across the on-trade, leading events and trainings, and bringing bold, creative ideas to life. If you’re plugged into the bar world, great with people, and love shaking things up (literally and figuratively), this could be your moment.

Main Responsibility

The Brand Ambassador will develop and execute advocacy plans to support the overall brand plan in driving brand awareness, consumer and bartender love and financial targets. It involves leveraging global brand assets to create impactful local activations, representing the brand authentically at events and through personal social media channels, and acting as a key source of brand knowledge for customers, consumers and internal teams. The position requires close collaboration with commercial teams and global brand ambassadors to ensure consistent, effective advocacy, while also monitoring market trends, identifying opportunities and adapting plans to improve performance. Additionally, the role leads continuous improvement across all activities and ensures the successful delivery of wider portfolio advocacy initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Someone who’s had hands on experience working in the UK on-trade for a number of years with an established network 
  • Has awareness of and passion for the Monkey Shoulder brand and a curiosity about the wider category and industry
  • Displays high cultural awareness with the ability to adapt communication style as required
  • Has high personal impact and integrity
  • Is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Shows significant experience of working with digital and social networks to drive engagement with influencers and the end consumer
  • Has exceptional social and influencing skills and the ability to build sustainable rapport with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Champions new ideas and initiatives with the ability to identify new commercial opportunities and make them a reality
  • Is a passionate and engaging presenter who demonstrates credibility and is able to inspire the whisky market’s consumers/enthusiasts

 

Desirable (but not required): 

  • An interest in music/DJing/gigs and/or streetwear fashion 
  • A love of cocktails
  • Strong IT skills, particularly presentation design 
  • Demonstrable understanding of budget management and forecasting 
  • Wine and Spirits industry knowledge 
  • Whisk(e)y category knowledge
