William Grant & Sons are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our established Finance Product team, based in Cumbernauld, on a Hybrid basis. This is a key role in our organisation, where you will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing effective systems support to Finance teams globally.  

Main Responsibility

As an Application Support Analyst, you'll be responsible for live system support, diagnosing and resolving application issues to ensure optimal performance and useability for the various business systems that the Finance Product Team support. You will monitor and respond to calls submitted through the incident management system, and identify opportunities for application and process improvement, ensuring responses and resolutions are in alignment with defined SLA’s.

You’ll be at the heart of the team’s delivery and deployment during upgrades / go-lives and resolve any issues identified during user acceptance testing to ensure business objectives are met. This will include supporting the change control process, working with the business and appropriate teams to create suitable test plans and scenarios, including expected results, in preparation for user acceptance testing ensuring the changes are implemented effectively.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to streamline processes and enhance user experience. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative atmosphere and is ready to make a significant impact.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

System Configuration and Customisation: Master the various Finance applications, configuring and customising to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

User Support and Training: Be the go-to person for Finance application-related queries. Provide hands-on support to users, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions.

Data Management and Integrity: Support the maintenance of data accuracy and integrity within the Finance applications. Develop and implement strategies for data cleansing, migration, and ongoing data quality assurance.

Automation and Integration: Support the design and implementation of automation processes. Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems.

Security and Compliance: Be the guardian of data security and compliance within the Finance application environment. Implement and enforce best practices to safeguard sensitive information.

Stay Current with Trends: Keep abreast of the latest application releases, features, and industry trends. Proactively recommend enhancements and improvements to maximize the benefits of the platform.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an IT professional with a genuine passion for optimising the customer journey through technology.

Finance Proficiency: Ideally hands-on experience in a Finance or Finance support role.

Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive problem solver with the ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot efficiently, and implement effective solutions.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language. Comfortable conducting training sessions and providing user support.

Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions that align with organisational goals.

Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Continuous Learning: Interest in best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
